Metric was engaged by Mosaic Transit Group to complete the underground site services in support of the new Light Rail Transit (LRT) along the Finch corridor.
Specific construction activities carried out by Metric include:
- 900m of watermains along Finch Avenue (varying in size from 150mm to 900mm dia)
- 2100 m of watermains (300mm dia and 400mm dia)
- 1050 m of concrete storm pipe (900mm dia, 975mm dia, and 1500mm dia)
- 710m of PVC storm pipe (250mm dia, 300mm dia, and 375mm dia)
- 55 structures – valve chambers, maintenance holes, and catch basins
Metric was also responsible for utility relocations for stormwater and watermain to support the work by Metric and other contractors working in the area.
