Since 2005 Metric has been active in the transportation sector and undertaken numerous projects for CN Rail/GO Transit, Metrolinx and the TTC. As such we are very familiar with working around live rail tracks, and implementing the specialized safety protocols required to do so. Our site personnel are PTS trained and are competent in efficiently working in the unique environment that is a live rail corridor with commuter and freight rail traffic.
We have completed numerous mainline expansion projects as GC working directly for CN Rail – GO Transit. The projects vary in length from 6.5 miles to 8.44 miles and we have completed a total of over 31 miles of mainline expansion work.
